Project Fire Buddies — Roberts Park FPD Chapter
What is Project Fire Buddies?
Project Fire Buddies is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that pairs firefighters with children battling critical illnesses. Through visits, gifts, and ongoing support, the program brings comfort, joy, and unforgettable memories to these brave kids and their families during some of the toughest times in their lives.
Our Chapter
Roberts Park FPD is proud to host an official chapter of Project Fire Buddies. Our firefighters:
- Visit local Fire Buddies at home and at the firehouse, often arriving with lights and sirens to make their day extra special
- Celebrate birthdays, holidays, and milestones with personalized gifts and surprises
- Build lasting relationships that go beyond a single visit — because our buddies become part of the fire family
Why It Matters
Since its start in 2016 and formal launch as a nonprofit in 2020, Project Fire Buddies has grown into a nationwide network of 145+ chapters, 1,000+ volunteers, and hundreds of kids served. The mission is simple: to spread love, hope, and smiles — one visit at a time.
