Training Dept.

 

The Roberts Park Fire Protection District Training Division is committed to providing the highest level of professional training to all members of the district.

The division handles all aspects of creating daily training sessions, enrolling personnel in classes, and maintaining training records for the district. Members of RPFPD train in all of the following aspects of the job:

- Firefighting
- Emergency Medical Services
- Technical Rescue
- Hazardous Materials
- Firefighter Rescue & Survival
- Apparatus Management & Operations
- Pre-Incident Building Surveys
- Mutual Aid Training Sessions
- Illinois Department of Labor requirements
- ISO requirements

Members of the Roberts Park Fire Prot. Dist. perform, on average, over 1,000 hours of training per month in the above subject areas. Members have also taken advantage of numerous Office of the State Fire Marshal certification classes taught by RPFPD personnel.
