Roberts Park Swears in New Lieutenant

The Roberts Park Fire Protection District held a promotional ceremony for Lieutenant James Janchenko at the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

Janchenko was hired as a firefighter/paramedic in December 2013. He attended Argo High School and earned his bachelor's degree from Benedictine University. Janchenko currently serves on multiple specialty teams and committees, including EMS coordinator and Hazmat. James is married and has two children.


“James is going to be a very valuable asset to the District,” said Fire Chief Jeff Ketchen. “We needed to fill the position, and we are proud of the hard work James took during the testing process.”
